Hi there, I’m Katie. I’m a Midwest girl and forever happy to call West Michigan home. I'm married to my best friend, Chris and blessed by our little loves, Tucker, Savannah and Finn. We love summer, sunsets and Sunday brunch, which always includes our favorite: blueberry pancakes with freshly whipped cream and real maple syrup.
When I turned 8, my parents gave me a Polaroid film camera and it started a life-long pursuit of capturing beautiful moments and memories. I capture hundreds of lovely family, newborn and senior sessions each year, and dozens of the most gorgeous weddings. Michigan’s four seasons offer the perfect backdrop no matter what time of year it is, and most weekends you’ll find me photographing clients in spots like Holland State Park, a vineyard in Traverse City, a urban mural in downtown Grand Rapids or wide open farm fields in Hudsonville.
Once your inquiry pops into my inbox, I’m there with you every step of the way. Whether you’re a family client or a future bride/groom, I would love to talk about your hopes and desires for your session or wedding. When I’m behind the camera, I’ll bring out your unique personality, I’ll make you laugh. You’ll feel at ease because we’re leaving the awkward poses behind! I’ll encourage those quiet, intimate moments on your wedding day so that the two of you can just take it all in. Real, beautiful, raw moments that make up the heart of your story.
Don’t hesitate. Fill out the contact form and let’s start planning!

Can I say both? I enjoy a cozy, winter snow day with my kids, reading endless books, baking cookies and snuggling while watching "Inside Out" for the 997th time. Someday, when our kids are older, we dream of traveling across the U.S., exploring national parks and eating delicious local food.
I am a pie girl, all the way. Some of my first memories are of sitting on the kitchen counter, watching my mom slice fresh Northern Spies. Sneakily swiping the small pieces of pie dough that she would pretend to forget about. I can smell the cinnamon and sugar even now...
Sunset, of course. The most beautiful sunsets are enjoyed with the ones you love. That warm, golden light reminding you of all the best moments from your day, dreaming of the future. Sunsets are for laying your head on his shoulder, for taking a deep breath, for smiling.
Rascal Flatts. Bless that sweet, broken road!

My kids are my life! Also, my husband is the best. Just saying.
